full watchmaker tool kit

we are here to help
Building a mechanical watch yourself is a challenging task, but with our complete sets you will receive all the components prepared for assembly, a full tool kit and detailed step by step instructions to guide your through the process.
Watches have always been closely associated with aviation, due to the need for precise measurements and navigation. The Stirling MK III is our third iteration of a classic Pilot watch, featuring a mechanical, hand-wound movement. With its large case and crown and high contrast dial design, the Stirling incorporates the familiar oversized look and exceptional legibility, which used to be absolutely vital in a cockpit.
The Stirling is available with a range of different straps in 22mm, including water resistant FKM, soft Italian leather and durable sailcloth.
Please note that a mechanical watch needs to be wound up manually via the crown every 48-50 hours.
Containing all parts, tools and instructions our kits are an ideal start into the world of watchmaking. Learn more about the way a watch works, the history of watchmaking and how to assemble your own automatic watch at home.
All our kits contain a detailed instructions book as well as access to our step-by-step video guides available on our homepage to assist you throughout the assembly.
Our kits are available as Full watchmaking kits or as No tools variants:

Visible in any situation
Our 38.5mm pilot dials benefit from high contrast, luminous numerals and hour markers above a modern sunray brushed dial finish. The dial is completed by coated hands (lume filled) and a small second hand sub-dial at 9 oclock with a red infilled hand.

Made for a cockpit
Pilot cases were designed for active service, with its owners often wearing gloves. The 44mm stainless steel case is following this tradition together with an oversized crown to enable easy winding. The case is equipped with a see-through case back, scratch resistant sapphire crystal and brushed case finish.

ST-3600 Mechanical Movement
This handwound watch movement was originally designed for pocket watches and boosts a 48-50 hours power reserve, detached hour wheel and small seconds at 9o’clock. Bridges and baseplate are finished to a high standard with Geneva strips and blued screws.

FKM or Sailcloth strap
Choose between a soft, fully water resistant FKM strap with a secure deployment clasp or a durable, traditional Sailcloth strap made of nylon fibres. Both options are equipped with quick release spring bars and measure 22mm lugsize.
